What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a site. Pixel tags, scripts, and local storage can perform similar functions—remembering preferences, keeping sessions secure, or measuring how pages render. We group everything under the word “cookies” in this policy when the effect is comparable.
Strictly necessary
These technologies are required for core functions: displaying pages over HTTPS, remembering that you saved cookie preferences, preventing basic abuse, and keeping load-balanced servers coherent during your visit. They do not exist to profile your personality or health. You cannot switch them off in our tool without breaking the consent record itself; clearing your browser storage removes the record entirely.
Analytics
If you enable this category, we may load scripts that measure aggregate traffic—popular pages, approximate load times, and rough device categories. We configure such tools to reduce precision where possible, for example by truncating IP addresses or disabling cross-site tracking features offered by the vendor. You may withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings; previously collected aggregate reports may remain in anonymized dashboards.
Marketing
This bucket covers pixels or tags that could support future advertising or newsletter attribution if we activate them. The toggle exists so you can refuse in advance. If we never deploy marketing tags, enabling or disabling this category may have no practical effect, but your preference is still stored respectfully.
How consent is recorded
When you choose Accept All, we set analytics and marketing to on. When you choose Reject, optional categories stay off while necessary storage remains. Cookie Settings lets you mix states before pressing Save choices. Each save writes a JSON object to localStorage with boolean fields and a millisecond timestamp.
Third-party cookies
Some tools set their own cookies only after you consent to the relevant category. Those vendors have their own documentation; we select partners who offer data processing terms aligned with our privacy commitments.
Retention
Browser-side consent records last until you erase site data or save new choices. Vendor cookies vary: analytics cookies often expire between six and twenty-four months unless you clear them sooner. We periodically review vendor defaults and downgrade lifetimes when tighter options exist.
Your rights
